Shelburne Museum’s collection of more than 100,000 items includes an eclectic and wide range of items from sculpture to paintings to textiles and weathervanes. In this webinar Nancie Ravenel, Director of Collections and Conservation will share four particularly out-of-the-ordinary efforts to conserve, preserve, restore, or stabilize a selection of odd and interesting items:  Elephant Ears, Turtle Baby, Figure of Man, and a Rubber Ducky decoy. Nancie will share her dynamic approaches as she questions, explores, experiments, and executes measures to conserve these items and their unique stories and functions.

Join us via Zoom on February 29 at noon. Nancie will be in conversation with Public Programs Educator Kat Redniss. A live Q & A will close the program. Free; advance registration required.

The webinar will have captioning, ASL, verbal description, and a transcript available of the recorded event.
