Shelburne Museum offers a full complement of visitor services, including shuttle service around the grounds, two fabulous gifts shops, and tasty food and drink in the Weathervane Café. Our outstanding visitor guides are always happy to help bring exhibits to life or to make your time at the Museum more pleasant.  

Shelburne Museum is conveniently located just 7 miles south of Burlington, home to many delicious restaurants, exciting shopping along the Church Street pedestrian plaza, gorgeous views of the Adirondack Mountains from the Lake Champlain boardwalk, engaging museums and galleries, and much more. General Group Tour Information

  • Group tours can be scheduled during our open season (early May to late October, daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.).    
  • Group options are also available during our popular Winter Lights festival, held each year from late November to early January.   
  • Reduced admission prices are available for groups of 15 or more. Please contact us for current rate information.  
  • We recommend allowing a minimum of three hours for your visit but would be happy to work with you to craft satisfying shorter visits.  
  • Visitors can bring picnics or buy their meals individually at our Weathervane Cafe—or we can work with you to arrange meal vouchers or bag lunches.   
  • We provide free admission for your group’s driver and leader.  
  • Parking is free and plentiful. Buses are welcome!   
  • All group tours include a welcome from a knowledgeable member of the Museum’s staff, including a brief introduction to the Museum’s history and overview of the campus. 
  • Guided tours can be arranged in advance for an additional fee.

Shelburne Museum is known for the dazzling variety of its displays—take the Highlights tour and see why. Explore Impressionist paintings in the Electra Havemeyer Webb Building, the museum’s famous folk art collection in the Stagecoach Inn, and the 220-foot steamboat Ticonderoga, a National Historic Landmark. End your tour with a visit to the special exhibitions in the Pizzagalli Center for Art and Education and a stop at the store for some souvenirs.
