Members of the Electra Havemeyer Webb Legacy Society have named Shelburne Museum in their will and/or have made a commitment of a planned gift in support of the Museum. The Society is named for our founder and was established to recognize the enduring generosity and support of its Members. Special invitation-only events are planned for the Society.
Make a lasting impact with your planned gift. A bequest or a charitable trust can be a transformative tool to strengthen the future of the Museum. In many cases, a planned gift may provide an attractive and appropriate alternative to an outright donation.
Bequests: Naming Shelburne Museum a beneficiary in your will is a simple process with a bequest of cash, securities, or other assets.
Other types of planned or deferred gifts include charitable remainder trusts, a gift of life insurance, property or a gift of retirement plan assets such as an IRA or 401k. We are happy to work with you to determine a plan that will benefit both you and the Museum. For information, please contact David Huntington at (802) 985-0920 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Shelburne Museum is pleased to announce it has become a member of The Vermont Community Foundation’s Planned Giving Partnership, joining scores of other Vermont non-profit organizations. Moving forward, Museum Members and friends electing to support us by making a Gift Annuity (minimum $10,000) will work directly with the VCF which will also help process Charitable Lead and Charitable Remainder Trusts to benefit the Museum.
If you have already taken a step to include Shelburne Museum in your estate plans, thank you! Please let us know. We want to recognize you publicly — or thank you anonymously if you prefer – as a member of the Electra Havemeyer Webb Legacy Society. Contact David Huntington at (802) 985-0920 or email@example.com.
