Webb Gallery

Webb Gallery is the Museum’s primary showcase for American art. It houses the ongoing exhibition Painting a Nation: American Art at Shelburne Museum. Painting a Nation opened in 2014 after a major building renovation, including new interior finishes and state-of-the-art lighting.

Webb Gallery was built on the Museum grounds in 1960. The building’s main block, flanked by matched wings, echoes the symmetry and scale of the nearby Dorset House, and the brick façade reflects the texture of the Schoolhouse and Meeting House.
