Travel to Paris and enjoy an evening of French culture. Relax in our cafe and sample French inspired cuisine, stroll through the Museum’s colorful gardens, listen to glorious French music, try your hand at plein air painting and view the exhibition In a New Light: French Impressionism Arrives in America. SMArt: Families—All American Afternoon
3–7 p.m., Thursday, July 3, 2014
Celebrate Independence Day and the Museum’s newest exhibition of All Star Quilts and American paintings with an afternoon of lawn games, patriotic art making and a traditional summer barbecue. Then cap off the day with a ride on the Green Mountain Flyer to enjoy fireworks on the Burlington waterfront. Additional charge for food and drink.

Join us as we celebrate Dorothy and the gang with costumes, treats and games. Stay late for a very special viewing of the film beginning at 7 p.m. Film is free with Museum admission.
SMArt:—VT Shakespeare Company, “A Mid-Summer Night’s Dream”
5–8 p.m., Wednesday, August 13 & Thursday, August 14
Spend a magical mid-summer evening at the Museum as the VT Shakespeare Company transports us to Athens with an outdoor performance of Shakespeare’s classic comedy. Make a fairy crown or wand, enjoy a picnic dinner and settle in for an evening of theatrical magic on the Circus lawn.
