Full Steam Ahead: Walking Tours of the Ticonderoga
All Aboard! Discover the restored 1906 steamboat Ticonderoga as it existed in 1923 during our daily walking tour. Learn about the boat’s operation, mechanics, historical and social context.

Visitors can gain insight into America’s craft and cultural heritage at the following demonstration sites: the Blacksmith Shop and Print Shop.
Visit the Blacksmith Shop to see demonstrations of how early 20th-century blacksmiths practiced their trade. The Blacksmith Shop also houses a collection of 19th and 20th-century blacksmithing and wheelwrighting tools.
The Print Shop features letterpress printing demonstrations that highlight changes in printing technology through the 19th and mid-20th centuries. Museum printers work at a range of presses, from the manual acorn press to the automated Heidelberg press.
