Daily walking tours of the steamboat Ticonderoga, special tours of Museum founder Electra Havemeyer Webb’s Brick House at Shelburne Farms, and other specialized tours offer visitors a unique opportunity for in-depth exploration of the Museum’s history and exhibitions. Sunsets at Shelburne Museum and other special events provide fresh perspectives on the Museum’s collections and special exhibitions.

Art at Hand

Art at Hand tours provide Museum access to visitors who are blind or visually impaired. Each tour includes a tactile component accompanied by vivid verbal descriptions of some of the major pieces in the Museum’s collection.
Mornings at the Museum

Shelburne Museum offers special programming to residents at local care facilities that serve the needs of seniors with Alzheimer’s disease. Residents, their caregivers, and family members participate in facilitated tours and discussions of Museum exhibits.

A Tour of Two Country Houses: Brick House and Shelburne House

Discover the relationship between two generations of American country houses on this special in-depth tour of the Brick House — the Colonial-Revival, Vermont home of Shelburne Museum founder Electra Havemeyer Webb; and Shelburne House (the Inn at Shelburne Farms) — the Gilded Age house of her in-laws, Dr. William Seward and Lila Vanderbilt Webb.
